The Iwatani DI-1800 can convert any counter or mobile counter-top into a cooking station. Designed to drop into hollowed out counter spaces, only the Schott-Ceran cooking surface can be seen from above while the compact control panel can be inconspicuously placed nearby to minimize visibility and to further maximize the visual aesthetics of the cooking station. And with a digital temperature control knob, adjusting temperatures couldn’t be easier. Equipped with a cooking pot/pan over-heating device, auto safety shut-down, material compatibility detector and other safety features.
Safety Features
AUTOMATIC SAFETY SHUT-OFF
The accessory series for Cassette Feu® is designed with indentations on the bottom that fits over the pan supports of the gas cooking stove. This prevents the plate from being displaced ensuring safety during cooking.
MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY DETECTOR
If the pan’s material or its dimensions are not suitable for the induction unit, the power indicator light will not light.
OVERTIME DETECTOR
If the pan is left on the induction range for more than 2 hours or if the user does not operate any functions for more than 2 hours, the range will automatically shut off.
SMALL OBJECT DETECTOR
The induction range will not recognize any objects or utensils smaller than 2 inches in diameter. For best results, use pans that are between 5 and 10 inches in diameter.
OVERHEATING PROTECTION DEVICE
If the temperature of the pan reaches 450℉, and the temperature remains for 60 seconds, the unit will shut off automatically. There will be a short warning sound.
IC AUTOMATIC RESET DEVICE
Main control micro processor is equipped with "Watch Dog" device, The IC will automatically reset when the software program malfunctions.
